|Loved it while it lasted!,
First the good: The ring is beautiful. It’s one of my most treasured gifts I have ever received. At a minimum weekly, but almost daily I had someone stop me and ask about the ring and I wore it with pride. I wore it for almost 3 full years before I had to shelve it because……
The bad: The stone and motorcycle are held in place by way of 4 tabs on the back. After 3 years of daily wear, putting my hands in my pockets, and occasional random pressure against the front of the ring (wind, gloves, cleaning, etc.), those tabs gradually extended and the stone came loose. I pressed the tabs back down to tighten it up. Within a month of the first “re-setting” of the stone, the tabs had worn at the folding point and broke. Now the stone is loose with only 1 tab holding it in place. Bradford Exchange does not service their items, and I can’t find a jeweler who will repair sterling silver by repairing or replacing those tabs.
If you have a biker in your life, they will love this ring. It would have gotten 5 stars if I were still able to wear it.
